 The Chocolate Show presents the KidZone, an area devoted to young chocolate lovers and their parents. The KidZone provides fun, creative and educational activities for children related to chocolate for 3 days.

   |  | Kids will have the opportunity to create a craft based on a Halloween theme. They will make a craft with cookies, ice cream and chocolate. Kids will be helped by adults to make this chocolate activities.

 THE GOLDEN TICKET |

 American Lyric Theater (ALT) is pleased to partner with The 12th Annual Chocolate Show to provide you with a rare and unique opportunity to get a sneak peak of THE GOLDEN TICKET a new version of the most famous, universally loved chocolate stories of all time.
THE GOLDEN TICKET is a new opera by Peter Ash and Donald Sturrock based on Roald Dahl’s beloved book CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. THE GOLDEN TICKET was commissioned by ALT and Felicity Dahl, and will receive its world premiere at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis in June 2010, followed by presentations in multiple venues across the United States and abroad. At the upcoming Chocolate Show, ALT will be presenting ‘sneak-preview’ performance of excerpts from THE GOLDEN TICKET, while launching an on-line chocolate themed auction to raise funds for this exciting project.
The Chocolate Auction will begin on the first day of the Chocolate Show, Friday October 30th, 2009, and will run for 10 days.
ALT is a non-profit organization located in New York City dedicated to diversifying audiences for opera by developing new works for new audiences. 100% of all funds raised by the auction will be used to support the development of this new work for children and family audiences. |
